General Search Engines:

Google:  A great source of images for papers and projects.  Make sure you choose the tab "images"

On-line Dictionary (English to Latin) or (Latin to English) from the University of Notre Dame

 

General Roman culture/Latin language websites:

Ancient History:  Roman, Egyptian, Grecian, Assyrian, etc.

Roman History and Games:  A little "baby-ish" but a good jumping off point for general information on architecture, etc.

Roman Rules:  Get the background on kings, generals, and emperors from Romulus to Crazy Commodus.

Latin Library:  To be used for primary sources.  All texts in Latin

Grammar help
:  from Ohio State with quick resources on the paradigms of nouns and verbs, in case you leave everything you need at school

This site is maintained by Tufts University is a wonderful resource for literary, historical, and archeological resources--find pieces in Greek, Latin, and English as well as some wonderful pictures of dig sites . . . click here for the easy search of the site's encyclopedia

Ancient World Wide Web
A classics site maintined by Julia Hayden and will link information about literature, art, archeology, ancient theories, law and philosophy, mythology and religion, science and history.

The Internet Classics Archive
Mainly a literature site, it will give you background and selections from Plutarch, Caesar, Thucydides, and even the philosphy of Confucious.

Electronic Resources for Classicists
A site for great resources in literature and history.  Many of the links are geared towards students and are very helpful.
